Hi, I am currently doing bit of balancing work my self during this rebuild. The county piston(+20's) weight vary by 6g and the rods by 4g. I am planning to remove a suitable amount of overall weight (haven't worked that out yet) and plan to remove the weight from the rods/caps once I find the best deck measurement mix of pistons to rod. I notice you mention you have balanced the pistons. I was planning to do the weight removal on the rods only, so have I followed you correctly in that you remove weight from rods & pistons? If so, where do you recommend material removal from on the pistons please? BTW do you take into consideration the weight loss from the crank journals due to regrind in your calcs for material removal? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
